Anna's folks farmed in Spjutsbygd, some of Jonasson and Svensens are living in the area. It is in the South of Sweden-4 Miles approx. from the small village called Rödely where the family attended the Luthern Church and where grandpa Jonas is buried. Near by is the naval city of Karlskrona where, you may recall the Russian submarine ran aground producing a furor.
Anna resided in a nursing home in the later years before passing at the age of eighty. Anna had three brothers and two sisters that came to America with her. In Sweden there are five or six more children of grandpa Jonas.
It is very difficult to research families in Sweden due to the name changes when children are born. Grandma's name Johnson is slightly modified form of Jonasson from Jonas which was her father's name pronounced You-Noss-Son; so Jonasson became Johnson in USA.
